JD Power rates Hyundai, BMW tops for tech
Hyundai ranked highest in the midsize-premium cars with its acclaimed Genesis model, while the Tucson took top honors in the small cars segment.
“We’re proud to offer vehicles that continue to push the envelope for a car’s technology,” Todd Torchia, General Manager of Taylor Hyundai on Washington Road, said. “The 2017 Genesis and Tucson are at the forefront of innovation, and we’re proud JD Power and Associates has found our customers feel the same way.”
The Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury sedan built for performance at a lower price point than many luxury brands, features sport-tuned suspension and a 348-horsepower engine. Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System, and much more add to the deft handling and safety that allows you to drive any road with confidence. And equipped Blue Link technology provides the high-tech experience you’d expect while driving.
Meanwhile, the Tucson represents Hyundai’s flagship crossover vehicle, providing affordable performance with space for everything you need. It boasts stain-resistant cloth, a rear-view camera, touchscreen, and much more centered on comfort.
But the highlight may be safety technology like Lane Departure Warning, an automatic Emergency Braking System, and more to partner with a 5-star crash test safety rating. Safety technology rated the highest in overall satisfaction in the JD Power survey on average, as more owners of cars with it said they would want it on their next vehicle.
“The greatest thing about what we offer is how we’re able to stand behind it all with the industry’s best warranty,” Torchia added. “It makes upgrading a more viable option for many drivers in the Augusta and Aiken areas.”
